The figure was then rushed to a seaport and placed aboard French ship bound for the United States. How ever, before the ship could pnd ono to sea, 1 was commandeered for war purposes. For the remainder of the war, the Golden Boy lay in the hold of the ship travelling thousands of kil lometres in constant danger. The figure was finally landed in North America at the con clu ision of the war and was then nipped by railto Winnipeg, where was hoisted the top of Manit oba's new Legislative Building on November 21. 6161 unscathed finall Nortt shipped rall 1919
